Netas’ IoT platform ION now available at Turkey’s 5G Valley for developers
The IoT platform of Netas, ION, is now deployed at 5G Valley Open Testing Site, incorporated under the leadership of the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK). Accordingly, students, start-ups, researchers from universities, or any agency and organization of any size now can develop IoT projects, free of charge.
As Turkey's digital transformation architect Netas considers that it is one of its duties to strengthen its ecosystem in order to support the domestic technology production, it has deployed its IoT platform, ION, at the 5G Valley Open Testing Site, incorporated by by the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK). Being the only IoT platform at 5G Valley, ION by Netas offers students, start-ups, any agency and organization of any size the infrastructure to develop their IoT projects at 5G speed.
Project owners who wish to test their IoT projects on ION by Netas are required to apply to the BTK. Project owners will be able to make use of the infrastructure within a stipulated time frame following an evaluation performed by 5G VATS Technical Work Group.
“Our goal is to prepare our ecosystem for 5G technologies”
Netaş R&D Deputy General Director Bülent Kemal Mutlu notes that Netas is home to Turkey’s first telecommunication R&D and it has played an important role on every stage of Turkey's digital transformation with the technology they developed in the past 45 years at it R&D centre, and adds, “As Netaş, we continue our work on developing local 5G and beyond technologies. At 5G Valley, our IoT platform is available to everyone including students, start-ups, any public and private organization of any size, as well as university researchers.
Thus, IoT project owners will be able to develop their products on ION by Netas, our IoT platform free of charge.
